Holly Jolly Holidays at The Blackstone

Friday, November 22, 2019 November 22, 2019 The Blackstone

Baby, it's cold outside so meet us in the lobby. Let’s get together for some holiday cheer!

See The Blackstone's elaborate holiday display unveiled Friday, November 22nd. Celebrate the season with our beverage partners and a special holiday a cappella performance!

Kids can also type out a Christmas wish list on our typewriter and mail it to Santa right in the lobby. He’s making a list and checking it twice but all are invited whether you’re naughty or nice!

A Cappella Holiday Performance by Run for Cover | 7 to 8 P.M.

Enjoy holiday jingles and popular hits performed by University of Chicago's Run for Cover A Cappella group.

KOVAL Distillery Tastings | 5 to 8 P.M.

Established in 2008, KOVAL produces organic whiskey, liqueurs and specialty spirits in Chicago's first distillery since the mid-1800s. Founders Robert and Sonat Birnecker, chose to leave their academic careers to bring the distilling traditions of Robert’s Austrian family to America. In making this decision, they vowed to make organic spirits from scratch (avoiding the common industry practice of purchasing and bottling pre-made spirits) and to change the way people understand whiskey by creating a new, signature style - using only the “heart” cut of the distillate - affording a brighter, cleaner take on whiskey. Try a selection of their whiskeys from oat to four grain. The Blackstone even has their own hand-selected barrel.

Bariano Prosecco Tastings | 5 to 8 P.M.

The Romano family of Chicago, distributors of wine and spirits since the 1930s, has partnered with the Rive Della Cheisa di Gasparetto family of Italy to create a fresh, new Prosecco. Patricia Romano Barry, along with her brothers Danny, Michael and DJ Romano, combined the Barry and Romano names to create Bariano Prosecco. Light and elegant with soft fruit notes of lemon and peach, Bariano is made of Glera grapes nurtured in the rich soil of Italy's Treviso province. The Romano family's recommendation: "Enjoy with the family!"
